15th Anniversary of the Brooks/Hillview F4 Tornado

Central Kentucky's most recent F4 tornado, and one of only 23 F4 tornadoes to ever strike this region, touched down in Jefferson Memorial Forest on May 28, 1996.  The twister quickly grew as it moved to the east-southeast across Interstate 65 in northern Bullitt County, devastating Brooks, Hillview, Pioneer Estates, and continuing on to Mount Washington.  The tornado finally dissipated in Spencer County near the Anderson County line.  Click on the links below for more information:
