Hot Weather Expected To Continue

Our heat wave is expected to continue through at least this weekend as the mercury will continue to soar. However, record high temperatures do not appear to be in jeopardy based on current forecast highs over the next four days. Heat index values are expected to range in the 95 to 100 degree range on Friday and Saturday afternoons, espeically along and west of I 65. A few spots could see heat indices into the low 100s. If you are expecting to be outdoors for long periods of time, be prepared for the heat by planning opportunities to rest indoors or in the shade, as well as having plenty of water. Below is a table of forecast highs over the next four days, along with forecast heat indices and record high temperatures for each day.
