National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office

NOAA Weather Radio Station, KIH41, operating on a frequency of 162.400 MHz is currently off the air.  The National Weather Service in Louisville has telecommunication technicians diagnosing the problem and we hope to have the transmitter back on air as soon as possible.  We are sorry for interrruption in programming.   In the meantime, residents in the bluegrass region of central Kentucky can tune to the Frankfort, KY NWR transmitter which is on 162.500 MHz.  The Owenton, KY transmitter is also on air on a frequency of 162.450 MHz.
