An unstable weather pattern will continue across the Midwest and Ohio Valley tonight and Tuesday as multiple upper level disturbances move over the region. These disturbances will send waves of storms across the region tonight and Tuesday. Some isolated severe weather is possible, that is with winds around 60 mph and hail the size of quarters, but the main threat will be frequent cloud to ground lightning along with heavy rain.
A cold front will bring an end to the storm chances for now by Tuesday evening. Temperatures Wednesday and Thursday likely will be in the lower to mid 80s, 5-10 degrees below normal for this time of year. The current low temperature forecast for Louisville reaches the mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday morning, which if accurate will be the coolest since the end of June!
