Severe Thunderstorms Strike Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky

Severe thunderstorms ripped across southern Indiana and northern Kentucky late Saturday afternoon and evening.  The storms started their destructive path in Crawford County Indiana and then hit the Louisville metro area and continued east along and north of Interstate 64.  Shelby, Franklin, Woodford, Fayette, and Scott counties all reported numerous trees and power lines down.  In the Louisville metro area...over 100,000 residences are without power.  Local utility crews expect power restoration to take several days or more.
