Central Kentucky woke up to the coldest air of the season on Sunday morning. The official low at Louisville International Airport was 20 degrees, but most of the state saw temperatures in the teens. The coldest readings were observed in Corners, and at Taylorsville Lake, where the mercury dropped to 12 degrees.
However, this cold air will be short-lived. Expect a gradual warming trend for the first half of the week, with highs reaching 50 on Monday, and perhaps into the 60s by Wednesday. Lows will recover into the 40s by Tuesday night.
