Our Latest First Measurable Snowfall

It's mid January, and still no measurable snow has fallen yet this winter at the official observing sites in Louisville and Lexington.

The latest first measurable snow on record at Louisville occurred during the 1931-32 season, when measurable snow finally arrived on March 5 (1.5").

Lexington recorded its latest first measurable snow during the same season, 1931-32, when the city waited until January 30 (one tenth of an inch fell that day).

There is a chance of measurable snow on Thursday the 12th.
