Low pressure over Texas will bring rain to central Kentucky and southern Indiana tonight and Wednesday. Expect rain to spread from southwest to northeast across the area tonight, especially after midnight. A rumble or two of thunder is possible on Wednesday south of a Lexington to Bowling Green line. Heavy rainfall is not expected with this system, but everyone should expect at least a half inch of rain, with totals approaching an inch near the Tennessee border and in the southern Blue Grass.
This system will be followed by sharply colder air and scattered snow showers on Thursday.
The map below will give an idea where the heaviest rains are expected to fall through Wednesday night.
