Saturday Evening Snow Accumulations, Satellite Images, and Photos

 An Alberta Clipper moved through the Tennessee Valley on Saturday, January 14, and brought a swath of snow to far southern Indiana and central Kentucky.  Most of the snowfall occurred in about a 5 hour window.

Below is a satellite picture of the snow taken the following day.  Morning clouds were still in the process of clearing eastern sections of the area, but the western and central portions of the snow stripe can be plainly seen.

Here is a zoomed-in look at the snow field.  Look how sharp the southern cut-off of the snow is!
