Minor flooding possible late this week on the Green & Rough Rivers

A storm system moving from the southern Plains through the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys to the mid-Atlantic coast will bring widespread rain to the region today.  1.5 to 2 inches of rain can be expected.  As a result, the Green River in Warren, Butler, Ohio, and Edmonson Counties is expected to go into flood.  Also the Rough River in Ohio County is expected to flood. At this time only minor flooding is forecast.  Folks along the Green River, especially near Brownsville, Woodbury, and Rochester and near Dundee on the Rough River, should stay abreast of the latest river and weather information.
