A warm front will stall over the region today as low pressure moves into the middle Mississippi River Valley. Along this stalled boundary, plentiful rains will fall areawide today, with some rumbles of thunder possible across south central Kentucky. On average, rainfall totals should range between a half an inch to around three quarters of an inch by the time the system clears out of here Sunday. The first graphic below shows the frontal boundary draped over the area and the expected sharp gradient between temperatures. The second graphic shows expected rainfall totals through dawn on Sunday. Most places should expect around three quarters of an inch.
