Chilly temperatures Tuesday morning

High pressure across much of the U.S. east of the Mississippi combined with clearing skies will bring chilly temperatures to the region tonight into Tuesday morning.  At this time, a widespread hard freeze is not anticipated in central Kentucky or southern Indiana. It looks like winds will stay up just enough to keep temperatures from falling drastically.  Nevertheless, sheltered locations such as river valleys will likely get colder than what the map below shows, with some patchy frost in portions of the Bluegrass region by the time the sun rises on Tuesday.
