This weak tornado did tree damage as it briefly touched down along Mount Pleasant Road northwest of Bedford, snapping upper-level tree branches in a narrow path. Occupants of a mobile home witnessed the tornado as it approached from the west and took shelter in their bathroom. While a large tree next to their home crushed a pickup truck as it came down, their home sustained minimal damage.
Straight-Line Wind Information
4.5 miles northeast of this brief tornado, downburst winds estimated at 75 mph tore much of the metal roofing off a barn. The roofing had just been replaced from damage caused by one of the March 2nd, 2012 tornadoes that struck Trimble County.
