Weather Support for Train Derailment near West Point

The National Weather Service has been providing weather support for first responders and those working the clean up with the train derailment that occurred back on Monday, Oct. 29th near West Point, KY.  The weather this week included the wide swath of stronger winds around Sandy as it moved ashore that day and brought us some light rains as well.  Staff from the weather service have provided forecast briefings as well as have set up a weather station (see images below).
