Snow Ending February 1, 2013

A cold front moved through the region Thursday night, bringing snow showers and much colder temperatures to the region, the coldest of the season so far.  Snowfall totals (see image below) ranged from up to 2 inches across the northern forecast area to just a trace over south central Kentucky.

With skies clearing quickly behind this front, the morning visible satellite imagery also indicated areas where snow occurred.

Again, thanks to the snow and cold windy air rushing into the region last night, we hit our coldest lows of the season in many spots.  The map below indicates what area low temperatures were.
