WKU Designated StormReady

Western Kentucky University was designated StormReady at a ceremony at the university this past Wednesday, March 20th.  WKU is the 4th university to become StormReady in Kentucky.

John Gordon (Meteorologist-In-Charge) and Joe Sullivan (Warning Coordination Meteorologist) from NWS Louisville presented University President Gary Ransdall and EHS Director David Oliver with a StormReady certificate and sign at the ceremony, and commended the university for their efforts in putting together safety plans and preparations for severe weather.  In addition, students from the Storm Toppers Network and the local AMS chapter were present for the ceremony and played a prominent role in helping the university become StormReady.
