Rainbow After Rain Yesterday

After copious amounts of rainfall fell across the region Thursday, we had just enough sunshine at the end of the day for several reports of a rainbow near the Louisville metro area.  Sunset was at 816 PM, and with the rain just east of the metro at 8 PM (as seen in the radar image below), there was just enough sunshine left.

J. Michael Rash sent in this image from downtown Louisville.  Notice the darker colors in the rainbow, as the more filtered sunshine low on the horizon was unable to produce all of the usual colors seen in a rainbow.
