NWS Louisville Loses Partner

In Memoriam - Chris A. Jackson

The National Weather Service staff in Louisville pass their sympathies and condolences on to the family and friends of LaRue County, Kentucky Emergency Manager Chris Jackson, who passed away early Tuesday after battling a long illness.

Chris was a valuable partner of the NWS in Louisville, increasing the county's communication with forecasters during severe weather events and guiding staff during damage surveys following tornadoes in the area.  He will truly be missed.
