Near Record Lows Possible This Morning

Very cool weather is expected tonight as an area of cool Canadian high pressure dips south into the Ohio Valley.  Mainly clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to quickly dive into the lower 50s, with even 40-degree readings possible in some low-lying areas!  Here are the record lows and the latest forecast lows for tonight.

City Record  Low Forecast Low
Louisville (SDF) 51 (1963) 56
Lexington 51 (2004) 52
Bowling Green 50 (2004)

Frankfort 49 (1964) 49

While temperatures will continue to run below normal for this time of year, a slow warming trend is expected into the weekend as highs get back into the lower 80s with lows in the 60s.
