Widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms will accompany a cold front passing through the area this morning.
The latest observations indicate the cold front will pass through southern Indiana and central Kentucky during the early morning hours Friday. Storms ahead of this front have the potential to be strong to severe with damaging winds and localized flooding from heavy rainfall being the main threats. An isolated tornado also will be possible this evening therefore a Tornado Watch is in effect for southern and eastern portions of the area until 2am EDT/1am CDT.
