The November 12th Snow Event

Snow fell during the early morning hours on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 across much of central Kentucky and parts of south-central Indiana. Meteorologically speaking, a cold front pushed through the Ohio Valley overnight and behind it, precipitation trailed, allowing for an Arctic airmass bulldozing in behind the front to mix with enough moisture to create snow for the region. Below are some of the pictures captured across the area and below those is a visible satellite view of the snow on the ground. The snow cover extends from Iowa through Ohio and interestingly, even snow amounts of about an inch or less can be seen via satellite on a clear morning. Thank you all so much to those who provided pictures!
