Wintry mix possible tonight through Tuesday night

A storm system will form over the western Gulf of Mexico early Tuesday and advance to the northeast across the mid-Atlantic states by early Wednesday.  As it does so, a shield of precipitation will move across much of the southeastern United States, reaching as far northwest as Kentucky.  A variety of precipitation types will be possible.  Right now it looks like precipitation may begin this evening as light snow across southern Indiana, and as a mixed bag across central Kentucky.  As temperatures warm on Tuesday the precipitation should change to light rain.  By Tuesday night cold air will come in from the north and change everything over to light snow.  The best chance for accumulating snows will come by Tuesday evening in the Blue Grass.
