10 inch Snowfall Climate Data

With snowfall totals from the storm moving into the area tonight forecast from 8 to 12 inches across much of northeast and north central Illinois by Friday afternoon...here is a quick look at the dates of some of our previous 10 inch snowfalls.

As you can see from the information above, the last storm in December to have 10 inches or more at Chicago was December 23, 1961 with 10.2 inches.  At Rockford, it was more recent being December 1, 2006 with 10.7 inches.
