Snowy start to the winter season...Updated

A series of storm systems has brought above average snowfall across much of far northern Illinois through mid December.  Below are rankings for seasonal snowfall totals ending December 20th for both Chicago and Rockford.  For this season, Chicago currently ranks 10th in terms of seasonal snowfall through December 20th, and Rockford ranks 2nd, nearly doubling the total snowfall received to this date last year.
