THE OFFICIAL HIGH TEMPERATURE AT OHARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WAS 38   
DEGREES TODAY...MAKING THIS ONLY THE 10TH JANUARY IN 137 YEARS OF   
RECORDS NOT TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE 40 DEGREE OR WARMER TEMPERATURE.   
THE LAST TIME CHICAGO FAILED TO REACH 40 DEGREES IN THE MONTH OF   
JANUARY WAS NEARLY A QUARTER OF A CENTURY AGO...IN 1985.  
 
SINCE 1873...ONLY THE FOLLOWING YEARS HAVE SEEN NO JANUARY   
TEMPERATURES OF 40 DEGREES OR HIGHER IN CHICAGO...
