ADDITIONAL DAMAGE SURVEYS AND NEW INFORMATION HAS ALLOWED THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO TO CONFIRM ADDITIONAL TORNADOES TODAY. THE OVERALL TORNADO TALLY FROM THE JUNE 5TH OUTBREAK IS NOW UP TO 10 IN THE NWS CHICAGO`S AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY...WITH THE FOLLOWING BREAK DOWN BY INTENSITY:

THIS IS TALLY IS BASED ON THE LATEST INFORMATION AVAILABLE...HOW IS STILL SOMEWHAT PRELIMINARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF EVIDENCE OF ADDITIONAL TORNADOES SURFACES.

THE LAST TORNADO EVENT TO PRODUCE SO MANY TORNADOES IN THE NWS CHICAGO`S AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY WAS BACK DURING THE UTICA IL TORNADO OUTBREAK ON APRIL 20TH 2004 WHEN 13 TORNADOES OCCURRED.
