A person who was seriously injured in the EF2 tornado that struck Dwight in Livingston County on the evening of June 5th has passed away from his injuries. This makes the Dwight tornado the first killer tornado to strike the Chicago/Romeoville County Warning Area in six years, since the Utica F3 tornado of April 20th, 2004, that killed eight people. It is also the twenty-second killer tornado to strike the Chicago/Romeoville County Warning Area since official records began in 1950.
