July 2011 - At Least 80 Everday in Rockford, All But One in Chicago

THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED AT LEAST 80 DEGREES EVERYDAY IN JULY
2011 AT ROCKFORD AIRPORT. THIS IS ONLY THE SIXTH TIME THIS HAS
HAPPENED SINCE ROCKFORD TEMPERATURE RECORDS BEGAN IN 1906. PREVIOUS
YEARS WERE 1921...1923...1935...1936...1955...AND 2002.

AT CHICAGO'S OHARE AIRPORT THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 80 OR GREATER
ON 30 OF 31 DAYS IN JULY. THE ONLY YEAR THAT THE HIGH TEMPERATURE
REACHED 80 OR GREATER ON ALL 31 DAYS WAS IN 1955...WHICH IS THE
WARMEST JULY ON RECORD...AND PART OF THE WARMEST SUMMER IN CHICAGO.
A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 80 OR GREATER ALSO OCCURRED ON 30 DAYS IN 1999
AND 2010. TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR CHICAGO GO BACK TO 1872.
