NWS Chicago Goes Trick or Treating!

This Halloween a group of 8 from the National Weather Service went trick or treating, but rather than asking for candy, the National Weather Service Chicago went trick or treating for canned goods and non-perishable items for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Greater Chicago Food Depository is a nonprofit food distribution agency that provides food to a network of over 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters serving more than 678,000 people across the Chicago area each year. This year thanks to the very generous homes in Romeoville that we trick or treated at, the National Weather Service trick or treaters collected 564 pounds of non-perishable goods!
