Bridgeport 5-11 Alarm Fire Smoke Plume Seen On WFO LOT WSR-88D

The smoke plume from a 5-11 alarm fire in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood, south of downtown, is being detected by WFO Chicago's WSR-88D radar. The red pixels in this reflectivity image are 55-60 dBZ, and northwest winds are carrying the smoke plume out over Lake Michigan. Midway airport's 10 pm weather observation indicates smoke is visible from the airfield.
