KLOT Radar Reflectivity Image:  May 31st @ 11:49 pm

Radar

This is an image of radar reflectivity, or power.  It basically shows the intensity and at times the size of precipitation prticles.  This complex of storms had had a long history of wind damage and flash flooding all the way back into central IL.  As it was moving into Rensallaer, IN as shown above, the structure was ideal for strong winds.  Note the reflectivity minima (drying) along the back side propogating toward LaSalle.
