Powerful Winter Storm Tonight Into Friday Morning (Updated 10 PM 1/20)

A powerful winter storm will continue to move north across northern Wisconsin overnight, before moving further into the Lake Superior area on Friday.

Strong west to southwest winds are expected overnight.  Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph will gust to 45 mph at times.

This storm will have a major impact on travel across the region, with travel becoming hazardous through this morning. Those with travel plans during this time should prepare for the hazardous conditions, especially over northern and western Wisconsin.
