Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 11 pm (Updated 445 PM)

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 11 pm.  Thunderstorms will be most numerous near the IL border as a weak cold front slides south through far southern WI  into Illinois. A few of the storms could become severe, given the high amount of instability and strong wind shear.  Large hail is the main threat, but there could be some damaging winds as well.

SPC has issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch 161 www.spc.noaa.gov/products/watch/ww0161.html
