Wisconsin Tornado Drought is Over (Updated 3 pm - June 16th)

No Wisconsin TornadoesStrong thunderstorms moved across southern Wisconsin Monday night.  The National Weather Service in La Crosse has confirmed two tornadoes occurring in the Platteville area in the late evening.  Additional tornadoes occurred near Blanchardville in Green county and most likely in the Verona area of Dane county. 

Hence the late start to the tornado season this year has ended.  2014 has had the 6th latest start to a tornado season.  This was the latest start to a tornado season since 1995.
