Saturday's Heavy Rainfall

Scattered thunderstorms became more widespread over southeast Wisconsin late Saturday evening.  The slow moving thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall over parts of southeast Wisconsin.  The heaviest rainfall of 1.5 to around 3 inches occurred from southern Jefferson county and northeast Rock county east to northern Walworth, southern Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties.

The heaviest rainfall reported so far was about 3 inches (3.02) at the South Milwaukee Wastewater Treatment Plant. Other heavy rainfall reports included 1.84 inches at Kenosha and 1.78 inches at Racine.

Please note that these images are based off of observations from our co-op network, and those observations were smoothed out across the map to give us rainfall totals at all the locations that weren't physically measured.
