SINCE RECORDS BEGAN IN 1871. THE OBSERVING STATION AT MADISON
TRUAX FIELD MEASURED 44.41 INCHES FOR THE YEAR. BELOW ARE THE TOP
TEN WETTEST YEARS AT MADISON...

WAS RECORDED. REPEATED THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES PUSHED ACROSS
SOUTHERN WISCONSIN...PRODUCING WIDESPREAD MONTHLY RAINFALL TOTALS
OF 10 TO 20 INCHES. AUGUST 2007 WAS RANKED THE WETTEST MONTH EVER
FOR MADISON.

FOR BOTH MADISON AND MILWAUKEE.
