Heavy Snowfall over parts of southeast Wisconsin Nov 30 - Dec 1

A slow moving low pressure area over the central Great Lakes brought a swath of heavy
snow to portions of southeast Wisconsin on Sunday, November 30th. A band of 6 to 10
inches of snow occurred from around Sheboygan south to West Bend, west of Port Washington,
Oconomowoc to northwest Walworth county around Whitewater and La Grange.
The National Weather Service office near Sullivan measured 9.4 inches through 7 am on
December 1st.
Below is a map showing the storm total snowfall amounts as of 7 am December 1st. Up
to another inch or so occurred after this time due to lingering light snow.

 November 30th Snowfall

The snowfall was less in far southeast Wisconsin from southern portions of Milwaukee
county to Racine and Kenosha because of milder air wrapping around the low pressure
system resulting in a prolonged period of a mixture of rain and snow.

In addition, strong north winds of 15 to 30 mph produced blowing and drifting snow in outlying areas.

Here is a listing of some snowfall reports from around the area as of 7 am December 1st.
