Jan 9 Snowfall

Snow moved into southeast Wisconsin in the early morning hours on January 9th.  A narrow band of moderate to heavy snow set up across southern Iowa and Dane counties as well as northern Green and Rock counties. This band remained in place for several hours, also expanding to the east into southern Jefferson and northern Walworth counties into Racine and Kenosha.  A narrow path of heavy snow was left across these areas with 6 to 8 inch reports common.  Snow amounts rapidly decreased going northward.

This map shows an estimate of snowfall totals across southern Wisconsin for the round of snow that fell in the morning hours.
