Christmas is right around the corner and winter is in full swing. Based on climatological records, on Christmas Day, Milwaukee has one inch or more of snow on the ground 49% of the time while Madison has one inch or more of snow on the ground 66% of the time.
A white Christmas this year is a definite across most of southern Wisconsin. The only area still in doubt of having a white Christmas is in the vicinity of the Lake Michigan shoreline, but there is still time for more snow to fall before Christmas arrives.
