Wind Damage August 20

Strong thunderstorms affected much of southern Wisconsin in the afternoon and early evening on August 20th.  Many of these storms were accompanied by strong winds producing damage across the region.  Rock, Jefferson and Dodge counties recieved widespread tree damage from a bow echo that moved through between 3:30 and 5:30 pm. Walworth County also had widespread wind damage from another line of thunderstorms a little later in the afternoon.

Most of the damage across the area was to trees and powerlines, however a barn was blown down near Eden in Fond du Lac County and damage was done to the roofs of some homes near Green Lake in Green Lake County.

There was also minor flash flooding in Iowa and Columbia counties.
