Record Heat
Parts Of The Upper Midwest
Saturday, October 9, 2010

The graphic below depicts afternoon temperatures across the Upper Midwest on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Southerly winds ahead of low pressure over the Dakotas and Minnesota pumped record setting warm air north into the region. Meanwhile, high pressure centered over the Great Lakes supplied a much cooler easterly wind flow that brought cooler temperatures to northern and eastern Wisconsin.
