November 8 -12 is Wisconsin Winter Awareness Week's that time of the year.   Time to start thinking about the upcoming winter season.  This is hard to do, after some great weather in October that allowed farmers to get a big jump on their harvesting.

The five NWS offices that service Wisconsin have worked with Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM) folks to generate a variety of winter-realted information that will help you prepare for the hazards associated with winters in Wisconsin.  Information can be found on-line, on varioius computer circuits, and broadcast on NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards.

We have a standard Winter Awareness Page which can be found here.  On this page you'll find a variety of winter graphics, public information statements, safety tips, and other useful information.

On the Wisconsin Emergency Management web site, you'll find additonal winter information, including material  from NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth who teamed up with WEM to promote winter awareness.  Matt was taped in several commercials are currently running throughout Wisconsin on major TV and radio channels.
