Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecasted to develop and move through southern Wisconsin this afternoon and evening.

Main Threats Associated with These Storms

- Damaging Straight Line Winds

- Large Hail

- Tornadoes

A low pressure system will trek north through Minnesota into northern Wisconsin today and tonight, dragging a cold front through the state. The cold front is expected to initiate thunderstorms with its passage as conditions will be ripe for development. Current trends show initial development to occur in our western County Warning Area (west of a Berlin to Monroe line) between 2 and 4 pm then progress to the east, arriving at the Lake Michigan lakeshore by 6 pm.

Please remain observant this afternoon. Take the time now to ensure your NOAA Weather Radio is working properly. Any storm reports would be appreciated and can be reported by calling our office or clicking on the storm report link below.
