A fast moving vigorous upper level impulse over far western Minnesota this evening will race southeast across southern Minnesota and eastern Iowa late tonight, and across northern Illinois early Sunday.
This vigorous wave will bring snow showers to southern Wisconsin between 1 am and 8 am CST early Sunday morning. Some of the snow showers will reduce the visibility briefly to one half mile.
Snowfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over parts of southern Wisconsin, mainly along and south of a line from Reedsburg to Watertown to portions of the Milwaukee metro area. Less snowfall is expected farther to the north toward Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Westfield.
The burst of snow could result in slippery spots developing on untreated roadways and sidewalks early Sunday. Be sure to check the forecast and current conditions before heading out early Sunday.
