Severe Weather Possibilities for May 24, 2012

The Storm Prediction Center has parts of Wisconsin in a moderate risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening.

Below is a simple graphic showing the best times for severe weather across Wisconsin today.  The posted times are only general, and could vary by an hour or so geographically.

Damaging winds is the greatest threat with fast-moving storms.  Large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible, but their chances are lower than damaging, straight-line winds.

Severe weather spotter reports will be needed.
