Below is an image showing WSR-88 Doppler Radar rainfall estimates utilizing Dual Pol capabilities, for the time period of 130 am Friday July 13th through 2 am Sunday July 15th. Some locations in south central and southeast Wisconsin picked up 1/4 inch to over 1 inch. A few spots in Milwaukee County had 1.5 inches or more. Overall, these amounts won't have much impact on the current drought since they were isolated. Most locations had very little precipitation.
The small black circle is the WFO Sullivan's radar location in extreme east-central Jefferson County. A NWS employee who lives in extreme southeast Jefferson County measured 0.49 inch of rain from a thunderstorm Saturday evening July 14th. Another NWS employee who lives near Palmyra measured 0.39 inch of rain. Dual Pol estimated 0.40 to 0.60 inch in southeast Jefferson County and up to 3/4 to 1 inch in the La Grange area of northcentral Walworth County! Note there is an area between the cities of Ft. Atkinson and Jefferson with 1 to 1.25 inches of rain. Click on image for larger version.
