Last Day to Visit Us at the Wisconsin State Fair

Today is the last day to visit with the the National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan staff at the Wisconsin State Fair.  We are located in the south pavilion of the DNR Park at the state fairgrounds.  The DNR Park is located just west of the Wisconsin Exposition Center as highlighted below.WI fairgrounds map

The 2012 Wisconsin State Fair runs through today. The DNR Park and pavilions will be open from 9 am to 9 pm daily.  An estimated 10,000 visitors stopped by our exhibit in 2011.

While you're at the state fair, come on down and visit with members of the National Weather Service.  We love to hear your weather stories.  This is a chance for you to give feedback on our forecasts, products and services, or just complain about the weather!

We will have the latest radar imagery on hand to get a peek at where the closest showers or thunderstorms are located.  Our web site will be up and running to check out the latest forecasts and current conditions. We will also have an authentic weather balloon on display, along with the equipment it carries into the atmosphere.  Learn about the important information this instrument provides scientists.

Ask us how to navigate our website and make use of its many features, including creating an hourly forecast of weather conditions for your location.  You'll be able to view a simulated tornado in our tornado chamber and examine our All Hazards NOAA Weather Radio display.
