Low pressure passing through Iowa and Illinois will bring a swath of dry, fluffy snow to the southern half of Wisconsin tonight into Monday morning. Snow will spread across south central and southeast Wisconsin this late evening, and exit southeast Wisconsin Monday morning. Snowfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches are expected. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of the area, mainly south of a Dells to Port Washington line.
The fast-moving system could drop up to 5 inches in a narrow band across Iowa, southwest Dane, Green, and Rock counties within a 6 to 8 hour period. This will create rapidly deteriorating travel conditions, with the accumulating snow and reduced visibility during the overnight hours through Monday morning. The snow will be ongoing during the Monday morning commute. Drive slowly and allow extra time to reach your destination.
