Some much needed rain fell across Wisconsin late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. Rainfall amounts ranged from about 0.3 to 0.7 inches across the southeast part of the state. Parts of south-central Wisconsin were in moderate drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor published on September 12. Not including this recent rain, precipitation deficits since July 1st ranged from 4 to 6 inches in the moderate drought area of south-central Wisconsin and 3 to 4 inches in eastern Wisconsin.
