The annual Government on Display expo at the Mall of America will again be sponsored by the Federal Executive Board of Minnesota, this Friday and Saturday, February 1st and 2nd, from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This expo is the largest government event to have been staged inside an American mall, and will feature more than 20 federal and state agencies.
National Weather Service representatives will be staffing a display on the first floor of the mall, with a variety of information and activities centered on weather, water, and climate monitoring and prediction. There will be hands-on activities, including an interactive river model, a tornado simulator, and weather instruments. Information about NOAA Weather Radio will also be available, and if you bring yours along, we'll program it for free (don't forget the batteries)! Representatives from partnering agencies of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will also be providing information about their respective agencies.
This event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
